..Resilient Stocks..??

..Anybody got any feelings/thinking/actual research into whether stocks that hold their price when general market is down (such as today in u.s.a.)..?

Now; i'm not talking about gold stocks when inflation fears run rampant; but regular companies that just do not go down; or actually increase in value while the entire universe is tanking..

My thoughts are that this should be a positive indicator of strong future performance..>>

but; as usual; it probably "depends on the specifics"..!!

Check out the pricing on cree and pudc.ob during recent market retreats..>>

Normally consumer goods/staples do well or won't do as bad as everything else when the market is down.

Think soups, cigarettes, and soaps.

In other words the things that people are going to buy no matter what.

Mo (Altria/Phillip Morris)
PG (Procter and Gamble)
Pep (Pepsi)

I think these 3 are good stocks to own no matter what.
